Highlighting/Contouring: Product Review

1:50 pm

I always had this notion that BB creams were quite crappy and didn't do anything they were supposed to. Minimum coverage, oily skin, blotchy patches, etc were the results of most BB creams I had used earlier. After many disappointments , Pond's came to save the day (and your skin, yay)!  It is perfect for everyday use and for those who do not use foundation, a great base for your makeup.
This "revolutionary" product is exactly what every Indian girl has been waiting for.

1. Good coverage
2. SPF 30
3. Stays all day
4. Blends in well
5. Not oily or blotchy
6. SUPER cheap
7. Smooth finish
1. Only one tone available
2. May not suit dark skin tones

I had never owned a concealer before this purchase because I never thought I needed it. I could do with my basic pressed powder to cover up any dark areas under my eyes. However, lately I had been wanting to try out the highlighting/contouring technique that's been doing the rounds in many beauty videos. At first I wanted to purchase the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer as many Vloggers swore by this. However, it is currently not available in India. So here is the next best alternative.
I'm currently using the medium shade, Buff, which is still pretty light. So now I apply very little of the product so that it doesn't look too white. For Indian skin tones (olive skin tones) I would recommend Honey as it has more yellow tones in it.

1. Easy applicator brush tip
2. Conceals + Highlights
3. Covers dark circles seamlessly
4. 3 shades available
1. Ivory and buff too light and have pinkish tone

This product isn't new to me, as I have owned and loved it for a couple of months now. This Bobbi Brown dupe by Revlon is the best thing that could have happened to drugstore makeup. It is essential for highlighting/contouring and is pocket friendly. I use the darkest shade to contour and the lightest to highlight. I use the medium pink (second shade from the bottom) as a blush. Sometimes to darken the hollows of my cheeks I use a dark brown eyeshadow and blend that in with the bronzer from this palette. I used the highlighter (lightest shade) for my cheekbones, nose, cupid's bow and under my eyebrows.

1. Pocket friendly
1. Doesn’t stay on too long
2. Decent pigmentation
2. Application maybe hard as colours are too close
3. Good colour range
